Steve, I'm keenly interested in the leading vs managing, especially with the biblical / spiritual sense. I do both in my work and definitely ponder how those skills best apply in my spiritual life.
For some reason though, I think many people think the two are much more separated than they really are. Leadership is about guiding into an unknown path and managements is about guiding along a known path. Otherwise, they both require a lot for the same skills, motivation and communication.
